Listening to Capitano Merletti’s music is like wearing magic glasses that transform the world into a kaleidoscope of sounds, where the colorful psychedelia of the Sixties merges with the most intimate indie-folk.

Singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, CM alias Alessandro Antonel has approximately thirty years of experience in recording music and composing songs and arrangements, starting from the analogue era up to the most up-to-date digital experiences of the modern world, passing through various musical styles, from garage rock to lo-fi folk psychedelia.

In recent years he has been working in his private studio, Studio Garp, for the production of his albums and the record releases of Pipapop Records, an independent label of which he is also co-founder.

On the other hand, all of Captain Merletti’s activity goes in a stubbornly opposite direction: he lives a life away from the spotlight, in a small village near Venice, taking inspiration from nature, raising his children and cuddling his cat. An activity that has not prevented him, over the years, from taking to the stage with artists such as Fatboy Slim, Maxïmo Park, Yuppie Flu and great Italian artists such as Marta Sui Tubi, Marlene Kuntz, Brunori Sas, Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti and Levante.
